Cissr terms of use

DRAFT. Not in effect. A lawyer has not reviewed this document.

Last updated: October 4, 2026.

This draft describes the Cissr dating app and the Cissr website at Cissr.online as they work today. It is not a promise about features that are not built.

Who this is between

These terms are between you and [NEED: legal name], the operator of Cissr ("Cissr", "we"). Until that name is filled in, this draft does not bind anyone.

What Cissr is

Cissr is a dating app. You confirm an email and create a profile. A nickname is collected only when the profile is created. You type a birthday. That is the age check, and it is not an ID check.

Visibility can be set to hidden, everyone, or matches. A new profile starts hidden. Hidden profiles stay out of discovery. A profile set to matches is not returned by discovery, but a match can still see that profile. Other people can find you in discovery only when visibility is everyone, and only after your age is verified as described in the age rules.

Discovery is built. Search is not. People can like, pass, or save a profile as a favorite. A favorite does not create a match. A match is created only when two people like each other.

A chat list is built. Sending a chat does not write to the database yet, so this draft does not say that a message you send is saved or delivered.

Cissr does not offer voice calls or video calls. Those are not wired up. Pause is not an available screen. Do not expect a pause or invisible control.

Age

You must be 18 or older. Age is checked by a birthday you type. It is not an ID check. The separate age rules draft explains this. If those rules and this page ever disagree, the age rules draft controls age, until both are accepted.

Your account

You sign up with an email address and you must confirm that email before the account is fully usable. You are responsible for activity on your account.

The app does not currently offer sign out or delete account. This draft does not say that you can do either.

A phone number may be stored in your settings. [NEED: whether a phone number is required, and what it is used for.] Cissr does not currently offer social login (for example Google or Apple) as a way to sign in. Push notifications are not built.

Your profile and what other people see

The nickname is collected when the profile is created. Profile edit does not save nickname, identity, orientation, pronouns, height, or weight. This draft does not say that you can edit or save those fields.

You cannot upload, reorder, or delete photos in the app today.

If you allow location, Cissr stores the coordinates on a private part of your profile. Other people do not receive those coordinates. They can see a distance band, not a point on a map.

In discovery, other people can see your nickname and your age as a whole number, and a distance band if location is allowed. If a public photo is already on the profile, discovery also returns that photo's address. They do not see your birthday, email, phone number, or exact location. You cannot add, replace, reorder, or delete a photo in the app. Discovery does not return you to yourself. It does not return a profile that is hidden, blocked, or set to matches. A match can still see a profile set to matches. There is no pause control to describe.

What you give Cissr permission to do with your content

You keep ownership of the text you submit, including the nickname collected at creation. You give Cissr permission to host it and to show it to the people discovery is built to show it to, when your visibility is everyone and your age is verified.

If a public photo is already stored, you give Cissr permission to return its address in discovery when these rules allow it. This draft does not say you can add a photo. It does not take a license to a chat message, because a sent chat is not written to the database. [NEED: how long a nickname, a birthday, and other stored account data are kept. There is no delete-account control today.]

Safety tools

You can block someone. A block takes effect immediately and applies in both directions: you and that person stop appearing to each other. You can unblock. You can unmatch. You can report someone. The community and safety draft explains reports, blocks, and unblocks. Read that draft with this one.

Payments

Cissr does not charge you. The payment terms draft is part of these terms. Screens or records for subscriptions or boosts are unfinished placeholders. They do not bill you.

Acceptable use

Follow the community and safety rules. Do not use Cissr if you are under 18. Do not harass people, spam them, or try to see a hidden profile, a blocked person, or someone else's private fields (email, phone, birthday, or exact location).

What is not built

These controls are not available, and these terms do not say that you can use them:

Disputes

[NEED: governing state or country, and the courts that hear disputes.]

This draft does not send disputes to arbitration. It does not waive a jury or a class action. Those clauses are not included because they were not authorized.

Contact
