Cissr community and safety rules

DRAFT. Not in effect. A lawyer has not reviewed this document.

Last updated: October 4, 2026.

These are the safety rules that match the tools in Cissr today: report, block, unblock, and unmatch. They do not describe a moderation team or a review vendor, because none is named.

The point of these rules

Cissr is a dating app for adults. You may not use Cissr to harm someone, or to contact someone who has blocked you or unmatched you, through any control the app actually has.

Age

Do not use Cissr if you are under 18. Do not present someone under 18 as an adult. If you think a profile is under 18, choose the Underage report. The age check is a typed birthday, not an ID check. Details are in the age rules draft.

Reports

You can report someone. The report types in the product are:

The person you report is not shown the report. Filing a report records it. It does not, by itself, promise a ban, a reply, or a specific outcome. [NEED: who reviews reports and what actions follow.]

Use Underage only for a real concern that someone is under 18. Use Harassment for abuse, threats, or unwanted sexual pressure. Use Spam for unsolicited promotion or repetitive junk. Use Other only when the first three do not fit. [NEED: examples that belong in Other.]

Blocks

You can block someone. A block takes effect immediately. It works in both directions: each of you is hidden from the other. Discovery does not return a blocked person. Blocking is the control to use when you do not want further contact, whether or not you also file a report.

You can unblock someone. An unblock removes that block.

Unmatch

You can unmatch. Unmatch ends the match. [NEED: what still appears on the chat list after an unmatch.] Sending a message does not write it to the database yet. Do not treat chat as a way to reach someone.

A pass is not a block and not an unmatch. The other person is not notified that you passed. Pause is not an available screen. Hiding a profile, blocking, and unmatching are the controls that exist.

Favorites

Saving someone as a favorite does not create a match and does not notify them as a match. It is not a safety action. Use block if you need someone gone.

What you should not do

What Cissr does not promise

A block changes what the app shows. It cannot stop someone from contacting you outside Cissr. A typed birthday does not prove age. A report is a record, not a guarantee that a person will be removed. The chat list is not a working mailbox, because a sent message is not saved. [NEED: the enforcement standard, once someone is named to review reports.]

Contact

Safety contact: [NEED: contact email].
